Master Practitioner Programme in Eating Disorders & Weight-Related Care

An integrated professional training pathway composed of workshop series designed to build clinical competence from foundational to advanced levels.

The Master Practitioner Programme is a structured pathway of evidence-based workshop series that supports health professionals in developing depth, confidence and practical competence in working with eating disorders weight-related challenges, poor body image.  

*Recognition: This is a National Centre For Eating Disorders course, which is approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre, holds the Quality Mark Scheme for the purpose of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This programme has also been approved by other numerous professional bodies in the UK and elsewhere.

The Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy) has approved this 4 part workshops series and offers its members between 12 and 16 continuing education credits per workshop.

Please note that if you are a member of other organizations, they may have specific requirements to approve the equivalency of the credits earned. You will have to do this independently with your professional organization.

About The Training

Held via Zoom

Integrating practical learning into your training helps you learn not only the theory, but also gain personal insight and reflection, building greater empathy, self-awareness, and understanding. These are key qualities for working effectively with people experiencing eating disorders,  obesity, weight-related issues and other forms of eating related challenges.

This programme is suitable for:

  • Psychologists, psychotherapists, and counselors

  • Dietitians, nutritionists, and allied health professionals

  • Medical professionals involved in eating disorders or weight-related care

  • Coaches and health professionals seeking psychologically informed competence, within their scope

Credits & Recognition

Each workshop attended earns 16 Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy) credits and a certificate of attendance.

Professional practitioners may apply independently for CPD or CME recognition through their own professional bodies.

After completing the workshop series, participants have the option to validate their learning by completing marked assignments.

  • A diploma award is available for those who complete assignments for each series.

  • Successfully completed diploma holders gain additional professional benefits, including eligibility to join the Middle East Eating Disorders Association network and the National Centre for Eating Disorders network.
