This workshop series provides a comprehensive, evidence-based foundation for clinicians and allied professionals working with eating disorders and disordered eating. It builds practical competence in assessment, formulation, intervention, and integration through four immersive workshops delivered live online.
About This Workshop Series
The Excellence in Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders workshop series is designed to support health professionals in developing depth, confidence and clinical effectiveness when working with eating disorder presentations.
This series is delivered as 4 sequential workshops, each focusing on core elements of assessment, engagement, formulation, behavioural and psychological intervention, and integration/relapse prevention. Participants will gain skills drawn from evidence-based psychological and behavioural principles, with opportunities for experiential practice, case discussion, and clinical decision-making.
This workshop series can be taken independently or as part of the Master Practitioner Programme in Eating Disorders & Weight-Related Care.
Who This Series Is For:
This series is suitable for qualified or experienced practitioners who work, or intend to work, with individuals experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, or weight-related psychological difficulties. It supports a multidisciplinary audience including:
Psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors
Dietitians, nutritionists and allied health professionals
Medical professionals involved in eating disorder care
Coaches and health professionals seeking psychologically informed competence within their scope

Workshop Structure:
This workshop series of 64 hours in total comprises live online workshops delivered via Zoom in blocks of 4 hours over a few weeks:
Foundations of Eating Disorder Practice
Establishes core conceptual understanding including normal vs disordered eating, hunger and appetite regulation, and the meaning of eating behaviour.Assessment and Early Intervention
Focuses on comprehensive assessment, building engagement and motivation, and initiating phase-appropriate intervention planning.Emotional, Cognitive and Experiential Intervention Skills
Develops psychological intervention competencies addressing emotional regulation, cognitive processes, body image, and experiential change work.Integration and Relapse Prevention
Consolidates learning with a focus on long-term planning, managing setbacks, and sustainable recovery-oriented practice.

Accessible recordings provided to participants
Each workshop attended in this series earns 16 credits as a member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy) and a Certificate of Attendance.
Professional Recognition & CPD
Participants may apply for professional continuing development recognition through their relevant regulatory or professional bodies. This workshop series is designed to support ongoing competence and professional practice standards.
Pathway & Diploma Options
While attendance at the workshops is standalone, you may choose to complete optional marked assignments to validate your learning. Completing assignments across the workshop series can lead to a diploma award within the Master Practitioner Programme.
